The NuPrime Stream-9 is a reference class multi-room streaming station capable of Wi-Fi 24-bit/192kHz and Bluetooth 5.0 aptX HD streaming. The Stream-9 includes multiple digital outputs for connecting to external DAC. It supports all major online streaming services, Bluetooth 5.0 (aptX HD), network DLNA and AirPlay 2 streaming. A selectable sampling rate converter (SRC) samples the streaming source music to a higher sampling rate (up to PCM 24-bit/768kHz and DSD256) with ultra-low jitter and distortion.

Ultra Hi-Res Sampling Rate Converter

  • The sampling rate of any digital inputs, including streaming, can be converted up or down between PCM and DSD, from 44.1kHz to 768 kHz or DSD64 to DSD255
  • The conversion is achieved by up-sampling to megahertz before down converting to the targeted sampling rate with ultra-low jitter and distortion.

Nuprime customize the exclusive SRC chipsets with a Taiwan IC design house and use two of them to achieve our performance goal.

Setting the Preset Channels

  1. On the App, select any playlist that you want to set on the Remote Control keys 1 to 9.
  2. Only the playlist that has a speaker icon on the top right corner can be programmed as a Preset. Select the speaker icon and a Present Content box will pop up.
  3. Select any of the 1 to 9 and confirm that you want to link this playlist to the corresponding Remote Control Preset Key.

What is Linkplay ?

Linkplay provides the module that manages the streaming protocol, communications between devices, and data routing in re-streaming and multi-room configurations. Products that use the LinkPlay module can have significant feature and performance differences as LinkPlay is a communication level module. In general, products that are LinkPlay compatible can be used together as a system. Nuprime customers can mix and match products to maximize performance (with only Nuprime components) or convenience (Nuprime streamer with compatible speakers).

NuPrime streaming devices application firmware can be updated over-the-air through the Omnia Receiver App.

  • Select the "NEW" firmware and a dialog box will pop up. Select Upgrade.

Manual Update

Date: Aug 27, 2023 This firmware (4.6.520554) update will fix the following problems but cause the loss of AirPlay capability.
  1. When streaming Qobuz and switching between sampling rates, a short fraction of the beginning of the first switched track is missing.
  2. When streaming Qobuz at 192kHz, there are clicks, pops and dropouts.
